Coverage for the FluMist Vaccine for 2-18 Years Old Begins 11/7/07Effective Wednesday November 7, 2007, Health Tradition Health Plan will begin covering FluMist (Live Intranasal Influenza Virus Vaccine) as part of your medical benefit. Coverage is available to all Health Tradition members ages 2 - 18 years of age. This includes the Premier, Premier Plus and Medicaid/BadgerCare HMO groups. We are happy we can provide this new benefit to our members. For questions on coverage, please contact your Advocate at the toll-free number of 1-888-459-3020.
Copay Change for ProtonixHealth Tradition has realigned the formulary tiers of Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs). Effective October 1, 2007, pantoprazole (Protonix) tablets will no longer be considered a formulary product and will move to a Tier 3 (non-formulary) copayment. Generic omeprazole 10 mg capsules and 20 mg capsules (available by prescription) will remain Tier 1 products and will become the only available formulary PPI’s. Please note that 40 mg Prilosec remains Tier 3 – no generic is currently available at this strength. Health Tradition encourages you to speak with your provider to determine if a switch to generic omeprazole is therapeutically appropriate for you. Health Tradition will be sending letters with additional information to members currently using this prescription. Provider UpdatesHealth Tradition provides many ways to help you find a doctor, as well as stay informed about doctors and facilities we have added or removed from our network. You can select MMSIServices.com from our Quick Link menu above for interactive provider and account information. Just register as a member, then log in any time to see information about providers (medical and pharmacy), claims and eligibility, and how to order ID cards. With the on-line search function, you can look for providers or facilities by name or by location (town, ZIP code, within a certain mileage, etc.). This wesite is updated daily, and will reflect recent changes made to our network. Our provider directories are available online for printing or viewing. They are updated periodically (but not daily), and can be found by clicking here. The directories are listed by plan type (Premier and Premier Plus, 65Plus and Medicaid HMO), with the State of Wisconsin ETF member information bulleted separately. We also list providers and facilities joining or leaving our network in our Healthmate Newsletter. This is a regular feature of Healthmate, and you will find provider changes on the last page of each publication. And finally, call Customer Service toll-free at 1-877-832-1823 with questions on providers, as well as eligibility, claims and benefit information.
