Our Health Tradition COVID-19 Response
Local department of health mass vaccination sites and pharmacies are the preferred choice to receive your COVID-19 vaccine. When you are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, follow your employer’s vaccine site recommendation, visit the DHS vaccine scheduling website (https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/vaccine-registry.htm), or go to vaccinefinder.org to see the number of vaccines available at a nearby pharmacy.
Vaccine Distribution and Cost
Vaccines will continue to be given in phases according to Federal guidelines. We encourage everyone to receive whichever vaccines is first available to them.
The general public ages 16 and older will be in Phase 2, anticipated in late spring or summer of 2021. For more information, please visit the Wisconsin Department of Health Services at www.DHS.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/vaccine.
The COVID-19 vaccine is free and available at no cost to you. You can receive the vaccine at any mass distribution site, pharmacy or your doctor’s office.
Cost Sharing and COVID-19 Testing
We encourage members to receive a COVID-19 test at any mass testing site, select pharmacies offering test, doctor’s office or other testing locations. We are committed to providing all members the support and coverage they need relating to the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. Health Tradition will waive cost sharing, including co-pays, coinsurance and deductibles, for the COVID-19 test. In addition, we will not require pre-authorization for medical services related to the testing for COVID-19. If you are unsure if you need a COVID-19 test, try using a Virtual Visit first to receive an opinion from a provider.
